Heading to D.C.

In a couple of hours I will be on a plane heading to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life, commemorating 35 years of legalized abortion in the United States. Since January 22, 1973, there have been more than 49 million abortions.

I may not have the opportunity to update the blog while I am gone, but expect to hear all about the trip when I return. If you are not able to travel to D.C., take part in the local events to pray for the end of abortion. You can also listen to Sacred Heart Radio on Tuesday, January 22, to hear from a range of people participating in the March. (I will be on around 8 am.) Live coverage of the event should be on the radio and EWTN (television or online) as well.

If you can't be there, please pray from home!

Hi, Emily! You two have done a fantastic job on this web site and our blog. Congrats! Glad you're going to be in DC. Paula Yerke and I have been weekly prayer partners for over 20 years...she is such a blessing for helping the Archdiocese and schools get students to the March.

The Way of Love pro life pilgrimage, now in our sixth year, will again take place on the final three Sundays of Lent: March 2nd, 9th, and March 16th(Palm Sunday...with a 'free' Celebrate Life family cook out at the end). Meet at the Bandstand in Burnett Woods (across from Good Sam). We'll walk from 2-3 pm from Bandstand around the block of Jefferson Ave. that encompasses the abortion site which has reported over 3000 children being aborted each year. No signs please. With a Biblical basis for our walk (Nehmiah, Philippians, Joshua), we'll peacefully pray for healing from the wounds of abortion, for God's mercy, for repentence and conversion of hearts and minds.

God's YOUTH are His great gifts. As they prepare for Lent, hope they will plan on utilizing this opportunity for meaningful service and know that they are contributing members to the pro life cause. info@TheWayofLove.org also check out www.TheWayofLove.org
